Build Quality and Look

When looking at the build quality of both the pool cleaners, the dolphin nautilus has dimensions of 16.38 x 16.77 x 8.97 inches and a feather lightweight of just 13.8 pounds. The lightweight making it easy to use for anyone. Whereas, the nautilus CC plus comes with the dimensions of 16 x 10 x 16 inches and slightly heavier weight of 19 pounds. Both the cleaners come in the colour combination of refreshing blue and elegant looking black. So, in case the priority is a light pool cleaner then, the choice automatically comes in the favour of Dolphin Nautilus. They both come with a cable attached, the length of the cable of Nautilus CC plus is 60 feet which is a tangle-free cable. The Nautilus also comes with a long cable length of 50 feet however it does not come with an anti-tangle feature. Although both of them are easy to take out of the pool as the water release system quickly dumps the water out of the cleaner, the nautilus CC plus has an added handle which further helps in taking out the cleaner.

Navigation System

The navigation system of both the pool cleaners are exceptional, one wouldn’t expect anything less from Dolphin pool cleaners anyway. The Nautilus comes with the CleverClean technology, which is designed to swiftly scan the swimming pool and gather information regarding the measurements and shape of the pool. With this, the cleaner is sent to an efficient route by covering the walls and the side area of the pool. It also helps in identifying and avoiding obstacles. The cleaner is also able to create a new route with every new cleaning cycle. The special algorithm used by the software ensures that the cable cord remains tangle-free. Similar to the Nautilus, the Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus also uses exceptional navigation to learn the specifics of the swimming pool. In addition to that, the CC Plus robot can move in a back-and-forth pattern, which ensures full coverage of the swimming pool. The cable provided with the CC Plus is 10 feet longer than the Nautilus, ensuring its efficient working for larger swimming pools. Also, this cleaner comes with an anti-tangle 360-degree rotating power cord. In terms of the navigation system, both the cleaners have similar and amazing navigation systems. One can go for either of the two if the main concern is the navigation system.

Cleaning Technique

The cleaning technique is where the difference arises between the two cleaners. The Dolphin Nautilus comes with a powerful active brush this single brush is able to carefully scrub dirt and algae from the surfaces of the pool all the way to the pool’s waterline. This brush is able to move at a fast pace, the speed is double the speed of the robot’s speed ensuring complete dirt removal. It not only scrubs your pool’s surface but is also able to give the robot enough power to climb the walls of the pool. The cleaner comes with tracks instead of wheels which ensures good grip and friction to be able to pick up huge leaves. The Dolphin Nautilus CC plus comes with an additional number of scrubbing brush which cleans the surface more proficiently. The brushes of the CC plus also move at a fast pace removing the debris stuck at the surface of the pool.

The CC Plus as it comes with two scrubbing brushes provides better and faster cleaning than the Nautilus. But even the single brush of the nautilus is better than some of the other competitor cleaners in the market. So, spending your money even on nautilus would be worth it especially if your budget is limited. However, if better cleaning is your priority then definitely go for CC Plus.

Usage

The usage of both the cleaners couldn’t have been made any easier. Dolphin has done a commendable job of making both of its cleaners extremely user friendly. Both the cleaners come with a top-load cartridge ensuring a mess-free cleaning. One doesn’t need to figure out the location of the cleaning filters, all they require is just removing the filter from the top part of the cleaner. The removal of the filter is not the only easy part, the cleaning of the filter is also quite easy and less time-consuming. It just requires a rinse to remove all the collected particles from the filter. The quality of the filter container ensures long time usage of the same filter which helps in saving your money. The capacity of the filters on both cleaners is also quite large which doesn’t require one to clean the filter frequently.

The only difference in the cleaners is the filter capacity, in nautilus CC Plus there are two sets for trapping different type of debris. Both the cleaners ensure easy maintenance and effective debris trapping when it comes to the filtration system. Another feature contributing towards the easy usage is the control system. Both the cleaners come with the control system of touch buttons. Both the cleaners provide a digital display panel where you can review your selections. The only difference that lies here is that the CC Plus comes with a scheduler where one can set a schedule on a weekly frequency. However, the similar is not available in Nautilus.
